Full time – 2nd Shift – Every other weekend & every other holiday
The lead housekeeper for 2nd shift is a management support role. Prioritizing and communication with the Team Leader are essential components of this position. Responsible for all aspects of cleaning, including mopping, dusting, washing beds, hanging drapery, washing windows and sills, making beds, vacuuming, sweeping floor, emptying trash cans, replacing supplies. Responsible for all aspects of maintaining and cleaning nurse stations, utility rooms, and common areas including public restrooms, lounges, entrances to building, stairwells, locker room, chapels, dining rooms, recreation room, exercise room, and physical therapy in a scheduled time frame. Responsible for ensuring resident rooms are ready for new residents in a timely manner. Work with other departments to perform cleaning in such a way as to be the least disruptive to resident care. Monitors checklists and cleaning schedules as needed. Fulfills all assignments given from Team Leader, and helps create a list of priorities for the arrival of the next shift.
. High school graduate or equivalent.
. Working knowledge of housekeeping/laundry chemicals and equipment preferred.
. Long-term care background preferred.
. Computer experience required.
. Must be able to perform simple calculations.
. Regular attendance is required.
. Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
