Update – June 4, 2021
Dear residents, staff, families and supporters,
Happy Friday everyone! Spring has sprung and happiness is in air!
This week there was a lot of activity at Bartels. Twenty trees were planted around campus, the first spring concert took place in Evergreen Arbor and the monthly testing was done on unvaccinated staff.
The testing revealed no positive cases. Visitation is open in all areas on campus!
Masks in healthcare settings are still required. This means everyone visiting in the main nursing areas should wear a mask and check in on the Kiosk.
Assisted Living is still practicing similarly to nursing, however Independent Living is open to visitors and masks are determined on an individual preference.
Now that things are opening back up…. Bartels is in need of volunteers! If you have any desire to volunteer it is always appreciated no matter if it is just a few hours or on a regular basis. Call 319-352-4540 and leave a message with your name and number, and someone will send you an application and then contact you. We would strongly recommend volunteers be vaccinated. If volunteers are fully vaccinated they would not need to be routinely tested.
Below is a list of fun upcoming events we want you to be aware of :
• The monthly Birthday Concert, the Jam Busters, will be in Good Shepherd Chapel at 6:30 pm June 10. If you have someone special here with a birthday during June, please feel free to join us.
