Dear Residents, Staff, Families and Supporters,
Three years ago on Good Friday, Bartels had its first case of Covid! Three years later, the pandemic will come to a formal ending on May 11, 2023.
Covid has been very disruptive to our operations, personnel and finances, but we are and will continue to dig our way out! I can now say I feel the shift as rules lessen for long-term care, which will help improve operations and workforce! I think with the warmer weather, the green grass and seeing the robins, it helps all of us to have a change of perspective!
There are currently no cases of Covid at Bartels. Bremer County is in substantial (orange) transmission rate.
Bartels will have some fun festivities going on today and a “secret” Easter Bunny making deliveries! Make your guesses who it is as you see them out and about!
It is also time to turn our focus to Easter Sunday. It is especially nice to be able to have Easter Communion Service at Good Shepherd Chapel at 10:15 a.m. and everyone is welcome! Other services throughout campus will follow the normal Sunday schedule.
Easter is such a hopeful time of year and I wish you every good blessing at Easter and always. Enjoy this beautiful weekend and wishing you a season filled with joy, peace, renewal and beautiful weather!
Easter Blessings,
Paula Geise, RN, MSN, CEO
